After several betas with the latest version of OxygenOS, OnePlus has started the final and stable update period for one of its best-selling mobiles, the OnePlus Nord. The update also comes with Android 11; in addition to a large number of novelties, both aesthetic and functionality.

Maybe we already have Android 12 within our reach despite the fact that it is still far from its version for users, but that does not imply that the previous version is on most devices. In fact, brands are still in the process of updating their latest smartphones; as is the case with OnePlus. The manufacturer has updated its OnePlus 8 Y OnePlus 8 Pro; with the OnePlus 8T that already started with that version of the system. Now it is the turn of the Nord.

OnePlus had already brought Android and OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus Nord, but only in beta form. Now you have just released the stable version of the layer and also the system; that comes in the form of an update weighing almost 3 GB.

As is usually the case with OnePlus updates, the one we are dealing with is incremental. This implies that will reach a selection of users first so that they can check that everything works correctly. Once the checks are done, it will be deployed more widely until it reaches all the devices.

Among the news that OxygenOS 11 brings to the OnePlus Nord are:

  • A new interface better adapted to use with one hand.
  • New clock for the Ambient Display and option to add the base of a photo as Always On Display.
  • Automatic night mode direct access to its activation.
  • Creation of automatic stories with the photos from the gallery.
  • Improved stability of the system and third-party applications.

If you have a OnePlus Nord it’s time to wait for the OTA to reach you: You can check if the update is ready from the system settings. You can also access the download of the ROM from the support page (not available at the moment).
