Google Assistant is the voice assistant pre-installed in most smartphones sold in Spain. During the last few years, its design has remained invariant, but in recent months it received a visual change for the Google Pixel. While that design will remain exclusive to Google mobiles, the rest of Android mobiles will also receive a change in style in an update that is beginning to be rolled out to everyone.
With the arrival of the Pixel 4 we were able to meet the new generation of the Google assistant, an assistant that improved its technology and that recently arrived in Spain. To distinguish this new generation, Google introduced a new design to differentiate it from the assistant present in other mobiles.
However, certain aesthetic elements of the new assistant have been taken in the redesign of the rest of Android phones, and it is that after several tests, Google is beginning to deploy a new design that combines the previous card style and unites it with the 4-color halo under the new one.
Otherwise it is not a revolutionary change, far from it. The card takes up more space and the suggestions with questions we can ask are much more colorful, feeling refreshing and familiar at the same time. We miss the Pixel tech improvements, but it looks like they’ll remain exclusive to Google.
As usual, this type of change begins to be deployed in an update from Google’s servers, so you will not have to do anything to receive the new design, although it is recommended that you have the Google application as updated as possible to make sure you receive the upgrades without any problem.
The entry The new design of Google Assistant begins to reach everyone appears first in The Free Android.
