At the beginning of last year the Spanish administration presented the My DGT application, an app that allowed us to have the documentation and data present in our driving license integrated into our mobile.
After a few months of testing, the app was opened to everyone and shortly afterwards it even began to be used as an identifier, replacing the physical card.
Today the heads of the General Directorate of Traffic have announced the plans for this application throughout the year.
The most relevant thing is that we can receive the sanction notices directly in the application, when we receive a fine, for example. Also, although the methods have not yet been confirmed, we will also be able to pay it directly from the application, without having to go to a bank or a DGT headquarters.
If our car was involved in a sanction but we were not the driver, we can also proceed to the driver identification or to annotation of a regular driver.
Finally, a usability improvement is expected to simplify the use and access to the application.
All of this should come in the next few weeks.
But into the year we will have even more functions. We can consult the notes of an exam related to the car, carry out the temporary cancellation of vehicles or request duplicates of the physical documentation, among others.
If you still do not have the app on your mobile, we invite you to download it. You need to be registered in the cl @ ve system of the Spanish administration.
The entry The application My DGT will allow you to pay fines from your mobile appears first in El Androide Libre.
