The Motorola Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Pro are left almost without secrets after passing through TENAA

The new generation of Motorola Edge, presumably under the name Motorola Edge, has long been the subject of rumors. Now those rumors start to take shape after the assumptions Motorola Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Pro have made an appearance in the Chinese certification body TENAA.

TENAA thus anticipates the design of these terminals, as well as corroborating some of the specifications that had leaked Evan Blass a few weeks ago, when it was still not known which models they corresponded to. In theory, the Motorola Edge 20 series will consist of three models: Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20 Lite, according to Evan Blass himself.

This would be the new Motorola Edge

A few days ago, Evan Blass shared a table with the main specifications of three Motorola four-terminal terminals, one of them exclusive to Verizon in the United States and three global. Under the code names Berlin, Kyoto and Pstar, later Evan added what would be launched at the end of July under the names Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20 Lite.

This leak told us about three 5G terminals with three different processors: Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 778G and Dimensity 720. Due to its technical characteristics, the so-called Pstar would be the top of the range or Motorola Edge Pro, followed by Berlin as a premium mid-range with Snapdragon 778 and by Kyoto, the simplest of all, with Dimensity 720 and a large battery.

Despite having so much information leaked, we had not yet been able to see a single image of these alleged Motorola Edge 20, and it now comes from TENAA. Both the supposed Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Pro have passed through this certification, where you can see photos about how would it look like, as well as some specifications.

Of course Motorola Edge 20 Pro TENAA gives us the data of a Full HD + OLED screen, possibly with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In the photo we can see the style of its back with curved edges and the module for its cameras. According to Evan Blass, a triple camera with 108 megapixel main sensor, 16 megapixel wide angle and 8 megapixel telephoto sensor with 5x zoom.

The certification shows a 4,230 mAh batteryalthough the actual capacity may be somewhat higher. According to Evan Blass, this terminal would have Snapdragon 870, 6, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, as well as the fingerprint reader under the screen.

On the other hand is the Motorola Edge 20, that also has been through TENAA. According to the leaks, this would be a terminal with Snapdragon 778, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of RAM, a 6.67-inch Full HD + 120 Hz screen and a 4,000 mAh battery. TENAA shows us a design quite different from the Pro model, which instead of curves opts for a right angle, as in the last iPhone 12.

From the front you can hardly see much, but behind we can see the slightly different module for the cameras. Rumors tell us that it would have a configuration similar to the Pro model: 108 megapixel main camera, 16 megapixel wide angle and 8 megapixel telephoto, with 3x zoom.

The only thing missing is the Motorola Edge 20 Lite, which has not yet been certified and therefore of which we still do not have photos. This is expected as a mid-range with Dimensity 720, screen with 90 Hz refreshment, 5,000 mAh battery and camera with 108 megapixel main sensor, with 8 megapixel wide angle / macro and 2 megapixel sensor for portrait mode.

At the moment Motorola has not confirmed the models nor its filing dateAlthough Evan Blass seems convinced that they will be official sometime later this July. It won’t be long then.
