Despite the fact that the main manufacturers in the smart watch market rely on their own operating systems, Google’s Wear OS continues to advance Slowly but surely, and each new update introduces improvements. Not for the future but also for devices in circulation, it is the case of the last to arrive.
Specifically, we are talking about the corresponding update to version number H-MR2 and that has already been released for the ecosystem of watches with Google’s operating system. Unfortunately, currently only available for Suunto 7-series and the other manufacturers will be adding more models to the list.
Autonomy, speed and simplicity
The H-MR2 update incorporates some quite interesting improvements, although the most striking has to do directly with the startup speed of the clock itself, in addition to the loading speed of the apps installed on it. Google ensures that its H-MR2 increase speed by 20%, so clocks will start faster, from zero or after a restart, and apps will open faster as well.
The Wear OS Bluetooth pairing process has also been improved with the update. Now watches more easily find their way to join our mobile phones, yet another new enhancement. The H-MR2 also improves autonomy with a more advanced and precise energy management.
But there are not the improvements because they are also introduced changes in the management of sports activities, which will now be handled in an easier and faster way, something that also affects the change of the spheres or watchfaces. As we have said, this H-MR2 for WearOS is already available for the Suunto 7-series and it will be a matter of weeks before other models begin to release it as well.
