The keyboard of Google it is one of the best options if you want a keyboard fast, customizable, and that (in return for a good part of our data), allow suggestions and integration of machine learning when we write. Currently, if we want to paste a text we have copied, we have to do the classic long press on the screen, as it has always done in Android.
According to reports in 9to5Google, Gboard is testing a new kind of suggestion of a clipboardso we don’t have to do this long pressbut to copy directly the suggestion that we have been given from the keyboard.
Ended the stop and hold for a second
The method to copy text in Android it is not the fastest. First, we selected a text, click copy, and to paste we have to stop and hold for approximately one second. Google no walk in testing to make the process fasterat least from Gboard.
As shown by 9to5Google, after copying a text, this is automatically added to the suggestions bar of Gboard. Will be displayed with an icon that will tell us that this suggestion comes from the clipboard. So, just click on the suggestion to paste the text directly, without needing to make the classic long pres we’re used to.
For the moment this function walks in tests, so there is no official date of arrival. However, taking into account the good pace of updates that leads Gboard, it is expected that the function does not take too long to reach all users of the beta version and then to the stable.
