The coronavirus is causing that thousands of events around the world are cancelled. From concerts, sporting events like the european Championship or the Olympic Games, and also a multitude of events in the world of technology. One of the most important events each year is the IFA in Berlin. The edition of 2020 will be different, because the live event has been cancelled.
As already happened with the MWC 2020 in February of this year, the Google I/O by 2020, there will be a physical event as such at the IFA 2020. The organization of the event is looking for alternatives, because of the ban in Germany to the celebration of events with more than 5,000 persons until October 24.

IFA Berlin is set to go ahead in 2020, but with an innovative new concept, following the decision by the Berlin government to ban all events with more than 5,000 participants until 24 October 2020.

It was something that was feared and that after the announcement of the government of the state of Berlin prohibit events with more than 5,000 people until at least the 24th of October, has made the IFA 2020 is cancelled in person. The event was planned for the beginning of September (between the 4 and the 9 of September) in the Messe Berlin, the trade fair of the German capital, where they gather thousands of visitors.
The live event is cancelled, but the event is still not cancelled. The organization says that they are going to move forward with a new and innovative concept. Weeks ago that anticipated that the physical event was going to cancel, due to the restrictions in Germany. For this reason, they have commented that spent weeks working on alternatives for the event to go ahead in any way and remains a benchmark event in the field of technology. How it is done is something that we don’t know yet.
There are probably presentations in streaming, replacing presentations physical which is going to celebrate in this IFA 2020, although it is not something that has been confirmed. The organization of the event has said that it will soon give more details about how it will be this year’s event, so we can only hope to have more details about it.
