The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro begin to update to EMUI 11

EMUI 11 is the new version of Huawei’s interface, which was officially presented in September. Since its announcement, various phones of the brand have been updating to this new version of their interface. In November the manufacturer itself announced when they were going to update their phones in Spain to this version. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be the next to be able to update.

Upgrading to EMUI 11 for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro has started in several countries in Europe. The two high-end models of the Chinese brand last year thus obtain all the novelties of this new version of the interface.

EMUI 11 reaches Huawei phones in Spain: models and dates

Huawei confirms the arrival of EMUI 11 in Spain, which will be launched in 14 phones first, whose deployment dates have already been confirmed.

These past weeks, various models within the brand’s catalog have been updating to EMUI 11, such as the Mate 40 and Mate 30. It was a matter of time before also the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro were to have access also to this update, something that is already happening.

The update rollout has started in various countries in Europe, such as the United Kingdom, as well as in countries in the Middle East. According to the roadmap that Huawei shared in November, this update is expected to reach these phones in Spain in the first quarter of 2021, probably in January. It is not known if this date will be brought forward, now that the update is progressing in Europe.

Thanks to this update, owners of a Huawei P30 or P30 Pro will be able to enjoy all the news that the brand introduced in EMUI 11. Functions such as the customization of Always on Display, improvements in application permissions, a better integration between tones and vibration, or improvements in its gallery will be available for these two high-end models.

If you have a Huawei P30 or a P30 Pro, you will soon have access to this update. According to Huawei’s calendar, it will be in the first quarter of 2021 when it is launched for these phones, but it may end up arriving earlier. The update is rolling out via an OTA for phones, so you will receive a notification when it is available.
