The Huawei Mate 40 already has an official presentation date 1

As reported by Huawei, the new Huawei Mate 40 will be announced at an event that will take place on October 22 at 2:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time.

This terminal will be one of the most important of the brand for several reasons, from a brand new processor to being the last one that was being designed in such an unstable stage for the company.

The Huawei Mate 40 will use the Kirin 1000

We do not know if there will be two models, the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro or some more, like the Porsche versions that we have analyzed on occasion.

They will all carry HiSilison’s new chipset, the Kirin 1000, the successor to last year’s 990.

This will be, at least for now, the last processor designed by the company, due to the veto that the US administration imposed on TSMC to manufacture these chipsets.

New cameras and curved screen

Previous leaks of the Mate 40 Pro showed us a new camera module on the rear, with a telephoto lens that would mount a periscope zoom, as seen on the P30 Pro and P40 Pro.

In addition, the screen would still be curved, but it would no longer do without the physical volume buttons, something that many of us saw as a bug on the Mate 30 Pro.

In front we would have a double perforation on the screen, finally leaving aside the notch and embracing a more current aesthetic.

We already knew that the presentation of this mobile was not going to be delayed, as has been confirmed, but we had doubts about its availability. We do not know if this model will be sold internationally or in a first wave it will be restricted to China.

On the one hand, we already know that it will come without Google apps, but the lack of some components makes it possible for the company to focus first on some markets and then, perhaps, on the rest of the countries.
