The Google Home app will know whether or not you are at home and will act accordingly

Google continues to bet quite clearly to increase its presence in our homes. To do this, it uses applications such as Google Home, and products such as Nest, which will soon receive new members, of which the app itself has already sneaked something.

The company continues to improve its home automation control application, which in recent months has implemented numerous functions. The next one that will arrive is quite important and that is that it will be able to use the physical location of our mobile phone to know if we are at home or not.

Routines that depend on our location

Until now the routines were executed according to our criteria or a programming that we had set.

From now on we can make them run when the mobile detects that we are not at home. For example, we can make the lights go out if he knows we are not home.

Obviously this is configurable so that it runs if all the members of a house have left, not if one of them leaves.

As you can see in the screenshots they have achieved in Android Police, there will be two sections of routines, the normal ones, the ones at home and those that are executed when we go out.

Personally, it would seem very practical to be able to make the app send the vacuum cleaner to clean the floor when everyone was out. This is one of the things we can do.

This update, version 2.28, is beginning to reach users, although not everyone who has it sees the new routines. As usually happens, it first reaches English-speaking users and in a few days we should see them in Spain.
