The Google Files player launches gestures for brightness and volume

He Google Files file manager, which also works as an app to share applications and documents, has gained new gestures in the multimedia player: now you can vary the volume and brightness by sliding vertically on each side of the screen. It’s a very easy way to customize the playback.

Google launched an app for basic mobile phones that later became one of the best options when it comes to saving space on the phone: Files. This app has been gaining functions Since currently it not only serves to save storage, it also allows file sharing, open PDF documents and even play the multimedia content of the phone, all without leaving Files. Precisely, Google has improved the player to make it even more functional, in the style of MX Player.

Vertical slide to adjust controls

Brightness control and volume control during playback (left side and right side, respectively)

Raising or lowering the volume while a video is playing in full screen does not imply annoyance since you only have to press the respective buttons. Instead, the opposite occurs with the brightness of the phone since you have to display the notification area and change the slide from there, as long as the interface provides that option. That is why the new from Files is so practical: save several steps with a simple gesture.

The new option is already included in the latest version of Files by Google: just update to have it. After this you only have to play a video, both vertically and horizontally, and slide your finger around the edges of the screen– Left loop changes brightness levels, right side changes volume. In this way, the playback can be customized directly and without leaving the video in full screen.

The new playback controls are now available in Google Files, specifically in version number 1.0.332273520. In the event that they do not appear to you update your app with the new version what is found in Apk Mirror.
