Throughout the evolution of Android we have seen many improvements in the system, but some tend to go unnoticed, especially those focused on functions closer to productivity.
With the launch of Android 11, Google wanted to give a spin to the use we make of the calendar in our personal and work lives. With the new Google Calendar function, we can easily view both areas.
What Google will do is allow workers in a company that uses Android work profiles to see their personal calendars in the same app, without having to leave work mode.
This will allow us to see at a glance all the elements of a day, not only those related to our work.
Of course, that information will be hosted on our mobile and our Google account and the company administrators will not have access to it, as is logical.
In the Google blog this novelty has been announced along with others related to work profiles and Android 11, such as the possibility of differentiating between two sections in the share menu when sending an item.
Of course, the function of seeing the two calendars at the same time will also come to Android 10, although the apps that want to make use of this novelty will have to update their APIs. Of course, Google will implement these instructions in Google Calendar, although we do not know the exact day when this update will be released.
The entry The Google calendar will improve with the integration of work profiles appears first in The Free Android.
