5G is a connection that little by little is imposing itself in Spain. If a year ago it was exclusive to some of the best mobiles and at the beginning of the year we saw how it reached the high end completely, the true expansion will not come until it is available to practically everyone. Phones such as the new Galaxy A42 5G are essential terminals in this expansion, since they lower the price line to a much more affordable sector.
Although it is not the cheapest 5G mobile in the Spanish market, here Xiaomi and realme are ahead, if it is positioned as the cheapest Samsung mobile to include this connectivity. After being presented at the IFA and knowing its technical characteristics a few days ago on its arrival in Europe, we finally know what the destination is for this mobile in Spain.
The Galaxy A42 5G arrives in Spain
The Galaxy A42 5G is a mobile that, although it has not made much noise, has a great chance of becoming one of Samsung’s best sellers. It is a terminal that, although it does not offer modernities such as screens with high refresh rates, it does have some advantages that mobiles with this type of screens are neglecting, such as the use of Super AMOLED screens (in this case, 6.6 inches andnotchU-shaped) and fingerprint reader integrated into the screen itself.
Among other outstanding features, the latest Samsung mobile has a 5,000 mAh battery and a 4-camera system that, as usual, by including macro and depth sensor is almost like having a two-camera mobile. The ultra-wide angle is 8 Mpx, so it is not very promising in that sense, while the main 48 Mpx sensor should offer more than decent quality.
At the performance level we have a Snapdragon 750G processor, being one of the few Samsung in Spain that uses a Snapdragon processor. The 4 GB of RAM may seem a bit fair for One UI 2.5, a very complete layer, but also demanding. In storage we have a 128 GB base with microSD card expansion up to 1 TB. Nothing bad.
The Galaxy A42 5G will be on sale in Spain at an official price of 349 euros and can be purchased from November 3. As is usual in the company’s mobiles, it is possible that over the weeks it ends up receiving discounts that will position it at the level of Xiaomi and realme of a similar category. If you want a Samsung Galaxy with 5G, you may not want to wait so long and get the Galaxy A51 5G today, which costs 329 euros for Prime Day.
