The 5G of MásMovil reaches these 19 cities in Spain

These months we have seen how several operators have deployed their 5G network in Spain, such as Movistar and Orange. These operators are now added MásMovil that launches its 5G network in tests in a number of cities in Spain. A total of 19 cities have been chosen in this first phase, as announced by the operator.

MásMovil offers these services thanks to a combination of its own network, with the deployment of its own 5G antennas, and the agreement it has with Orange Spain. In the coming months, new cities will be added, as has already been confirmed, although which ones have not yet been said.

One billion people will have access to 5G before the end of the year according to Ericsson

According to a report published by Ericsson, before the end of this year some one billion people will have access to 5G around the world.

MásMovil brings its 5G to these cities

19 Spanish cities have been chosen for this first deployment of MásMovil 5G. In all of them this network can be used from today and they are the following (in alphabetical order):

5. Barcelona
6. Bilbao
7. Hospitalet de Llobregat
8. Logroño
9. Huesca
10. Jaen
11. Madrid
12. Malaga
13. Melilla
14. Pray
15. Salamanca
16. Saint Sebastian
17. Seville
18. Valencia
19. Vitoria.

The operator’s clients in these cities will be able to enjoy all the benefits of 5G in this way, such as faster browsing speed and lower latency. The technology is available to those with an operator fee, both private and business rates. In order to use it, you need to have a compatible mobile phone, be in a coverage area and have one of those operator rates. The process is automatic, that is, the phone will automatically connect to 5G when it detects it, as long as the established requirements are met.

MásMovil has 80MHZ of 5G spectrum in the 3.5GHz band, which makes it the operator with the largest amount of 5G spectrum per customer in Spain. Users with an operator rate in these first 19 cities will be able to enjoy the 5G network today and thus have a higher speed when browsing.

In the coming months, new cities will be added throughout the Spanish geography, which will thus be able to enjoy the 5G of MásMovil. No dates or names have been given yet, but we sure know more by early 2021.
