What are suggested posts on Instagram and how do they work?
In the feed on InstagramWhen we enter our account, we find posts from those accounts that we follow, as well as advertisements. The ads are integrated in the form of a publication in said feed and are usually content that could interest us, based on the pages we follow and the activity we follow in the application. Now, in this feed we have to add the suggested publications as well.
When we have descended in said feed there is a moment in which the social network says that we are already up to date, that we have seen all the new publications that we had pending to see. So that users are not left with nothing to see, the social network has now introduced the suggested posts. They are publications that could interest us, based on the accounts that we follow.
Through its algorithm, Instagram analyzes the type of accounts you follow, the posts you like or interact with, to create this Suggested Posts section. In many cases they are similar to the ones that appear in the Explore menu, so they may be accounts that you know. The idea of the social network is that you stay as long as possible in the main feed, in addition to being able to discover new accounts in this way.
Before, when you got the message of “You are up to date”, the social network I showed you the publications that you have already seen, of those accounts that you follow. With this new section of suggested publications, publications are shown that according to the algorithm of the app, should be of your interest or taste.

Surely there are users who are not convinced by this new feature on the social network.
