Sony is updating to Android 9.0 Pie 30 of their televisions, models that range between 2016 and 2019. These are both Bravia and non-Bravia generation models, all of them with Android TV. integrated.

This OTA is gradual and although it has started in Latin America, it will reach Europe in the coming days. Sony has confirmed that it will update to Android 9.0 Pie 30 Android TV models, Bravia and not Bravia. The list of models is quite extensive and includes televisions as of 2016. Among the novelties of this update are improvements in multimedia playback, support for HEVC 100 / 120Hz, elimination of the WPS function for security reasons, support for Android 9.0 menus, and improvements in performance and stability.
The update will arrive automatically on the TV, so you only have to update when prompted. It ends like this with the controversy that was generated when sony left several recent models of televisions with Android TV without updating. After multiple complaints, Android 9.0 Pie arrives for a large part of its catalog.
