So you can try the new Photos application for Windows 11, without waiting, even if you use Windows 10

A few days ago we saw how Panos Panay showed the first images of the renewed Photos application for Windows 11, a change that only some users could experience with a controlled deployment. And it has been a developer, the one in charge of publishing a version that can be installed on Windows 11 but also in Windows 10.

The new Photos app offers major interface changes, with renewed contextual menus, a design of the buttons that now change position, an information panel that changes position … a large number of changes that can now be tried without waiting.

A new beginning

The revamped “Photos” app is being tested by a select group of users. The version that can be downloaded is the one with the number 2021.21090.8005.0.

The first step in trying to receive the new version is to enter “Setting” and join the preview program. At that moment, it returns a message, at least to me, that indicates that We cannot be part of the ** “Photos” testing program.

And for those who do not want to wait, from deskmodder they have launched a version of the application “Photos” that can be downloaded and installed to test the improvements it introduces. A version that they also claim can be installed on Windows 10. In fact, the link and the application works without problems.

Once installed as a normal executable file, the application appears on the screen wearing the new design with all the changes that we already know. Also, since Deskmodder They ensure that this version of Photos also works on Windows 10.
