The `battery, that component that gives us so many headaches. The same one that runs out at the most inopportune moment. A fundamental part of the PC that thanks to these steps will not hide secrets in Windows 10 or Windows 11. Steps to access a complete battery status report.

To know the status of the battery, if it begins to run out, if it has too many charge cycles or even to know the useful life that remains, these steps allow access to a whole series of data that by default is not visible on our computer. A tutorial that works for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The battery will have no secrets

To start the process and for the team to generate a complete report, the first thing we have to do is, through the search box, open “PowerShell”. It is enough to write it and then execute it, taking into account that we must do it with “administrator permission”.

In the window that opens on the screen, we must write or paste the following command, respecting the spaces: powercfg / batteryreport / output C: battery-report.html and then we press the “Enter” key.

PowerShell will generate a battery report and save it to your computer in the form of a web link that we will have to open.

Just go to My Computer “in the “File Browser” and within this, in the section “devices and drives” we select the “drive C”.

A series of folders and files appear and at the end of all the one that interests us, the one that receives the name “battery-report.html”. Click on it and the battery report generated by PowerShell will open.

The report that opens before our eyes, via browser, includes information about the battery of our equipment. Data related to the use in the last three days, the estimated average useful life of the battery based on the use, if it shows symptoms of damage … in addition, in this case it will advise if it is advisable to replace the battery.
