Like every second Tuesday of each month, a few hours ago Patch Tuesday has played, this time corresponding to the month of September and Microsoft released patch KB5005565 for Windows 10 on versions 21H2, 21H1, 20H2 or 2004 of your operating system.
The patch has arrived by way of the builds 19044.1237, 19043.1237, 19042.1237, and 19041.1237, which are destined respectively to each one of the versions of Windows. An update that focuses on correcting a fault present in the PowerShell and in the process correcting other errors present.
The update resolves the following PowerShell issue:
An issue that can occur on devices with Windows installations created from custom offline media or a custom ISO image remains They may lose the classic Edge application (Edge Legacy) and that it is not automatically replaced by the new Microsoft Edge.
{“videoId”: “x83kjzc”, “autoplay”: true, “title”: “LOG IN to WINDOWS 10 WITHOUT USING PASSWORDS”}
This issue only occurs when creating custom offline media or ISO images by sliding this update to the image without first installing the Independent Servicing Stack (SSU) update released on March 29, 2021 or later. To avoid this failure, they recommend following these steps:
Make sure to first embed the SSU published on March 29, 2021 or later to the offline custom media or ISO image before embedding the LCU. To do this with the combo SSU and LCU packages now used for Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows 10, version 2004, the SSU will need to be extracted from the combo package using the following steps.
If you have any of the Windows 10 versions mentioned, you can download the update by going to the usual route, that is, “Settings> Update and Security> Windows Update”
or do it manually in this link.
