Samsung’s One UI 3 has been introduced a number of usage restrictions added to which we already have on Android. This interface of the brand behaves in a more aggressive way with the software, since with the update there are apps that stop collecting data from the sensors in the background to record the activity, among others.

Furthermore, this activity is also on the loss of notifications on the device, something that users with a phone that already uses this version have noticed. Although it is not known if it is something that affects all phones that already enjoy One UI 3 with Android 11 on their Samsung devices.

Closing applications in the background is something that has been activated by default after obtaining the update on these devices. Users have not done anything to make this happen, but luckily there is a way to prevent apps from closing in the background without their permission. These are the steps to follow:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Applications.
3. Enter any of the applications on the list.
4. Go to the Battery section.
5. Tap Optimize battery usage.
6. Select All.
7. Turn off the apps you want to receive notifications from or need to run in the background.

When deactivating the desired applications from the list, they will reissue notifications and work in the background. This is something that can consume more battery, but it will also allow many of the applications to run smoothly, as many of them need to be able to run in the background.
