The Korean giant’s MicroLed technology can also be used in private homes. Theater size, but the cost? About 130 thousand euros

  • Conscious of size? Samsung’s new MicroLed offers a 110 “screen
  • Total vision: 99.9% of the surface is made up of a screen
  • Cons: The price is not really affordable for everyone.

A huge 110-inch screen, at the modest cost of 130 thousand euros, those of a mini apartment. Samsung has announced its new smart TV for a “ready to go” home and certainly not for all budgets. The strengths of the new ultra TV from the Korean giant, in addition to the dimensions of a movie theater, are also the liveliness and brightness of the colors made possible by a self-emitting LED screen technology. Already available in South Korea, it will be exported to Europe in early 2021.

The first MicroLed display experiment was The Wall, produced in 2018 as a system of configurable modules that can be professionally installed. However, with the new 110-inch MicroLed display, Samsung offers the experience in the form of a traditional TV and can therefore be installed directly at home (for those who can afford it). Unlike the modular version, installation and calibration are simplified, as the new model is preconfigured and offers video, audio and features that the company calls “extraordinary.”

Superior image quality

Thanks to the latest technological innovations from Samsung, the 110-inch MicroLed TV uses micrometer-sized lights to eliminate backlight and color filters used in conventional displays. It is self-emitting because it produces light and color from its own pixel structures. The new Korean TV is capable of expressing 100% color gamut and delivers images with a wide color gamut accurately. The TV also has a processor powerful enough to live up to its viewing capabilities – the new Micro AI processor delivers 4K HDR content ensuring brilliant and lifelike picture quality.

The design of the 110-inch Samsung maxi screen

Design-wise, Samsung’s 110-inch MicroLed has a 99.99% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels and bezels have been completely removed from the screen, leaving only the screen and therefore offering consumers a fully immersive experience. The size allows you to use a multi-view function to comfortably view up to four content simultaneously and up to 55 inches. By using this feature, users can connect multiple external devices and view news, movies, and other applications simultaneously on one screen.
