Samsung updates its Bixby assistant with a new design

Bixby is Samsung’s assistant, present in the phones that the brand launches in Spain. This assistant has been losing some functions in recent months, such as its augmented reality. Although Samsung continues to improve its assistant, as they have done now in its new update, where a design for this assistant is released.

In this update, Samsung seeks that Bixby is going to show itself in a more natural way on the phones. For this reason, they bet on a new design, which may in part be reminiscent of Google Assistant. This new design is made available to the brand’s devices in the Galaxy Store.

Samsung leaves us with a renewed design in its assistant, with a new screen of settings and recommendations, with the most used phrases or capsules. The most notable change is when Bixby is launched on the phone, either from its app or with the corresponding voice command. This new design does not interrupt the activity that is being carried out on the phone, since it does not occupy the entire screen, but stays only in the lower part, allowing a more comfortable use of the assistant.

This new design is partly reminiscent of the Google Assistant, by occupying the bottom and integrating better into the phone, but Samsung has managed to keep the elements of One UI. When speaking, to find out if Bixby is listening, a moving line is displayed at the bottom of the screen. In addition to voice commands, we can write on the screen what we want to ask or ask the assistant.
