Material You is the new design language of Android 12, and its main novelty is automatic themes. These change every time we change the wallpaper, to adapt the color palette of the system to the theme of the device itself. This is a very attractive feature in native Android, although there are doubts about how the manufacturers will implement it.
Samsung has wanted show how themes will look on your One UI 4.0, the customization layer based on Android 12. We are going to show you what they look like, specifically, in a Samsung Galaxy S21, the mobile they have used to test the beta of Android 12.
With the beta of One UI 4.0 arrives Material You and its automatic themes, one of the great unknowns in the customization layers, since each manufacturer will have to adapt it to their interface.
Samsung has shown on social networks a little video of what these auto themes will look like on your ROM, showing how they work and adapt to the color palette of both their wallpapers and the different styles that they allow to be set by the user.
As Google dictates, the system theme will adapt to the colors of the wallpapers, implementation that Samsung has managed to solve quite well. Within the wallpapers section we will have a ‘color theme’ setting, in which we can choose different themes according to the color palette of the wallpaper.

The system will automatically select the colors that it will apply to the theme, both in the wallpapers that Samsung includes and in any wallpaper that we download from outside.
