Samsung kicks off the public beta of Android 11 with One UI 3.0, first for the S20 and in Korea

The official start of the public beta of One UI 3.0 has already begun: users of the Samsung Galaxy S20 in South Korea can sign up to test the new version of custom layer plus Android 11. It is a first step for the worldwide deployment that will take place progressively.

Samsung has been testing the new version of the system for a few weeks on its most cutting-edge devices, we could already see the first screenshots of Android 11 for developers in the Samsung Galaxy S20. And not only the base of the system has been adapted, also the One UI layer takes a leap in performance to evolve to version 3.0. Eager to try the public beta? Well, there is less left: the starting gun has already occurred.


Galaxy S20 owners in Korea can now test beta

The deployment of new device versions usually happens in the same way: Samsung chooses its latest ‘top’ phones as a base, first tests an internal version, then shares it with some developers and, as a step prior to stable deployment, Samsung opens a public beta program that anyone can sign up for. Of course, the deployment of said beta is progressive and by territories; with the manufacturer’s country routinely initiating testing.

, the public beta period has officially started. The lucky ones who live in Korea, and have a Samsung Galaxy S20 series mobile, can sign up to enter the update program. This program should continue to other countries in the next few days, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, China and India. Spain also usually enters the betas, although usually in the second or third wave.

To sign up for the beta of Android 11 and One UI 3.0 you have to do it via the Samsung Members app, included in the brand’s mobiles. If you are interested in trying the new version of the system as soon as possible, it is advisable that you consult the app frequently, at least if you have a Samsung Galaxy S20 or Samsung Galaxy Note 20, the two families that should update in tests. Samsung is likely to expand the betas to Samsung Galaxy S10 Y Samsung Galaxy Note 10, we will have to keep track of One UI 3.0.
