Revolution in Google Takeout: album filters in Photos and direct download any cloud 1

Google Photos is one of the best cloud gallery applications that we have available on almost all Android phones in Spain and the rest of the world. Thanks to its free and unlimited cloud storage, as the years go by you have more and more photographs here, making itvery complex to leave the service.

What if you want to put aside your Google account and take all your photos elsewhere? Fortunately, Google has a tool known as Google Takeout, from which we can download any data from our Google account. This includes all the galleries in Google Photos, and from now on taking them will be easier than ever.

Now it’s easier than ever to download your albums from Google Photos

Google Takeout is a tool that allows us to take and extract all our active information in the Google account. Whether to create a backup or because you want to have better control of your data, Takeout is an essential that you should know.

From here we can download any data related to our Google account, be it emails or our photo albums. The latter has just been updated to facilitate the task of importing our photographs.

From now on, when we go to Google Takeout, if we check the option to download our data from Google Photos we canchoose the albums we want to download. This applies to albums that we have created, but it will also count photos that we have not added to an album chronologically. For example, you can download the albums of your last trip, and of 2 individual months.

When we go to the next section, it will tell us how we want to receive it. Traditionally we will have the option of receiving a download link in our email, but Google has increased the possibilities of migrating our data to accounts in the cloud. At this time, in Spain we have the possibility of sending our data to our account of:

  • Google Drive.
  • Dropbox.
  • OneDrive.
  • Box.

Depending on the country, the list may vary, and as we see in media such as 9to5 Google, in the United States they have access to OneDrive and Flickr, although it is to be expected that as the weeks go by there will be more compatible services in all geographical areas.

As Google says, this tool is useful to migrate our data to another place quickly, since Google will transfer it once we give the order instead of having to download it ourselves.
