Review page: this is how the new feature of Chrome for Android works

All mobiles sold in Spain with Google applications and services usually incorporate the Chrome browser, which has helped make it extremely popular. This browser usually receives news with some frequency, and in version 89 we have known an interesting novelty to take a quick look at web pages.

Chrome 89 has stood out for being a version loaded with news for the Chrome OS system, highlighting the integration between Android mobiles and Chromebook laptops. However, the Android application has also received a great novelty to save us opening more tabs.

Google Chrome has a new feature that is extremely easy to use. Just start browsing the internet and look for a link that you want to open. Instead of pressing it, press and hold the button to bring up the contextual menu that we usually use to open a link in a new tab, copy the link, or share it with other applications. In this menu a new button will appear called Review page.

If we click on this button, the link that we have selected will open in a window superimposed on Chrome. From this new window we can navigate through the page without having to open a new tab. This interface has two buttons at the top that allow us to close the preview or turn it into a new browser tab, confirming that it is definitely a page that we were interested in viewing.

The review page function has been available for a few hours for all users of Chrome for Android. The feature requires you to be updated to version 89, although it is still being deployed from Chrome’s servers, so you may have the updated application and still have to wait for the feature to activate.
