The family Redmi Note 9 grows. The first to arrive was the Redmi Note 9sand now the range is completed with the global version of Redmi Note, 9 and Redmi Note, 9 Pro. Two models mid-range that will opt for the perforated screen, the rear camera four lens and a big battery.
These two Redmi Note, 9 get to the range more disputed, so inevitably, you wonder how to stay in front of your competition direct in the medium range. To find out, the we have met the Realme 6, Samsung Galaxy A51, Huawei P40 Lite, OPPO motorway a91 and Google Pixel 3a.
A couple of years ago, it was more likely to be found with a notch in its various expressions in the select a handful of phones from mid-range. Today, however, our selection is almost monopolised by the perforation in the screen. It is the solution chosen by all the terminals except the OPPO motorway a91, with a notch in the form of a drop, and the Google Pixel 3a with the top frame.
Speaking of screens, the LCD panels as both Redmi Note 9 still something more common than OLED and AMOLED, which is present in Samsung Galaxy A51, OPPO motorway a91 and Google Pixel 3. The rest opt for LCD panels, and must find where to place the fingerprint reader in a place that is not under the screen. The Redmi Note 9 includes behind; the Redmi Note, 9 Pro, on the side.
In this price range, upload of the 60 Hz standard is still the exceptionand only Realme what makes the 90 Hz of your Realme 6. In which there is agreement is on the diagonal, with the vast majority of models are around 6.5 inches, except the Google Pixel 3a, more compact and with a screen of 5.6 inches. All terminals use the same Full HD resolution+.
In terms of power and performance, the Xiaomi opted for two different solutions. The Redmi Note 9 unveils the new Helium G85while the Redmi Note, 9 Pro mounts the processor in the gaming Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 720G. Both processors are relatively new, so we don’t have a great reference in terms of performance (the only model with Snapdragon 720G apart from several Redmi Note, 9 is the Realme 6 Pro).
In the competition, we have a little bit of everything. Huawei includes your Kirin 810 in the P40 Lite, Samsung does with the Exynos 9611 in the Galaxy A51 and Realme mounts the Helium G90T of MediaTek. As to the RAM, the Redmi Note, 9 is the only one that keeps the version with 3 GB of RAMwhile the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a few more standard 6 GB of RAM, more or less the same in the competition.
Where the difference becomes more obvious is in the capacity of the battery. The two Redmi Note 9 share the same capacity consisting of 5020 mAhvery superior to the competition, being the 4.300 mAh of the Realme 6 the closest. The fast load of 30W from the Redmi Note, 9 Pro is a good added. It is not the most high, will exceed the 40W of the Huawei P40 Lite, but still a load twice faster than in the Samsung Galaxy A51.
A few years ago we would be surprised to find a mobile phone with four cameras and a lens 64 megapixel camera as that of the Redmi Note, 9 Pro, but what is certain is that in the last few months it has become almost standard, with small alterations in the resolution of the sensors. The Redmi Note 9 mounts a camera quadruple 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP and the Redmi Note 9 Pro ups the ante to the 64 + 8 + 5 + 2 MP. The additional sensors are, in order, wide-angle, macro, and bokeh.
This combination has become in almost the standard in 2020, and in fact we have almost the same combination in the Realme 6 (64 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP) or the Huawei P40 Lite (48 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP). How not, Google is totally for free with the Google Pixel 3a and simple camera.
In front, the Redmi Note, 9 mounts a camera of 13 megapixels and the Redmi Note 9 Pro, 16 MP. Again, it is the standard of the range, while Samsung climbed up the resolution of your sensor for selfies at 32 MP and Google incorporates half in your Pixel 3a, 8 MP.
As always, we leave it up to the comparison table with the most important specifications of all the models that we included in our comparison, so that you can compare to the detail those elements that are most relevant to your preferences.
