Realme Air Buds Pro review: noise cancellation and good price

If there is a company that is not hesitating to try to be the center of attention with the value for money of its products, it is without a doubt really. The OPPO subsidiary arrived in Spain as it does in many countries, offering good products at almost impossible prices.

That, in our country, is very important, which is why a gap has been made extremely quickly. And we are not talking only about mobile phones, although we will analyze the new realme 7 5G, but also about accessories.

The firm’s catalog is very large, with cheap options such as the realme Buds Air Neo, others of great quality, such as the Buds Air, and now with a professional one, the realme Buds Air Pro.

Correct design and improvable materials

When a company puts on sale a product with technical specifications that are only seen in products that are worth twice, many raise an eyebrow. Realme is not a brand that is going to try to deceive its users, but it does not do magic either.

There are several reasons why Realme Air Buds Pro are cheaper, and one of them is the materials.

The construction of these headphones has reminded us of that of the Vivo TWS Neo, with a very glossy plastic of little thickness and which is left with a lot of fingerprints and skin grease.

Also, it is sometimes difficult to get them out of the box because they slip and the magnet used to make the headphones charge smoothly does not help.

On the other hand, I have to admit that they are not the most comfortable that I have tried. It is true that this depends a lot on the shape of each person’s ear, but they have reminded me of the Pixel Buds 2, and after wearing them sometimes (not always) I have found something uncomfortable.

Realme Buds Air Pro have ANC

The sound quality of headphones that have the suffix Pro in the name should be very high, right? The reality is that while the sound is correct, we do not have a similar experience in sight with 200 or 300 euro headphones, which are usually the ones that are called similarly.

In addition, we have a mode of transparency that allows us to listen to our environment and with active noise cancellation (ANC).

We can’t say that ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) isn’t noticeable, but it doesn’t do much. The same goes for transparency mode.

We have had to carry out concrete tests to be aware that there really were changes in the sound, and there were. The problem is that, between the shape of the headphones and the hardware used, the result is not very different from what we have with other headphones that seal the ear more even if they do not have ANC.

Options and autonomy

Realme continues to rely on its application Realme Link to have a configurable gesture control.

This program allows us not only to activate or deactivate the sound modes, which can also be modified by pressing on the headphones, but also to activate or not some functions such as the low latency mode to play or watch videos.

As for the gestures, we can configure a double tap or a triple tap on each of the headphones, as well as the activation or not of the automatic pause and playback mode when putting on the headphones.

As for the battery, the company states that we can charge them in one hour to 100% using the USB C port. With 10 minutes we have about 3 hours of playback and the autonomy is about 20 hours with ANC and 25 without it.

Yes, wireless charging is missing that we saw in the original realme Air Buds.

The realme Air Buds Pro have a clear bet: ANC and price

We reached the end point. Are the realme Buds Air Pro worth buying? The answer is positive as long as we value noise cancellation above all and we have a very tight budget.

Personally I think that the other two headphones of the company that we have analyzed, the Buds Air and the Buds Neo, have a better value for money. And they are more comfortable, although this is tremendously personal.

The realme Buds Air Pro will go on sale in Spain on December 3, at a price of 89.99 euros. They will be available in two colors, black and white.
