Samsung is one of the technology companies available in Spain with the greatest commitment to innovation. Closing this 2020, which has been so many challenges for the whole world, the South Korean company has decided to recap the most important events of the year, as well as its promises for the future.
Dr. TM Roh, president and director of business of mobile communications of Samsung Electronics has taken advantage of the close of the year to recap how 2020 has been for Samsung, as well as the areas in which the company is focusing more for a 2021 that promises be exciting on Samsung products.
Samsung’s three key pillars for 2021
Concluding his end-of-the-year message, Roh wanted to highlight three key aspects that will be vitally important within its smartphone catalog. Photography is one of the most important aspects of the high-end range, and although Samsung has always been one of the great heavyweights in the industry, manufacturers such as Google, Xiaomi or Huawei have raised the bar based on innovation.
Not that Samsung has rested on its laurels and they are still mobiles with very good cameras, but they need something more. This something could arrive in 2021, and that is that Samsung ensures that it has super smart professional cameras and video functions on its way, both at the capture and editing level.
Samsung’s folding devices are terminals that have impressed us, especially with models like the Z Fold 2. However, this terminal is far from almost any possible budget and it seems that Samsung is aware. It is not that they are going to start reducing the price of the most exclusive models, but the company will have more models available that allow a more accessible experience.
This would mean that we would see at least a new cheaper Galaxy Fold. Rumors suggest that its name would be Galaxy Fold FE, an acronym that comes to mind for this year’s products like the Galaxy S20 FE that has left us with such good sensations.
One of the last aspects highlighted by the Samsung manager is the Note range. In recent weeks there have been many rumors about the disappearance of these models (rumors that, as we tell you, are not sufficiently founded). However, Roh has wanted to refer to the beloved range of professional products indicating that they have observed the characteristics that users like the most of the Galaxy Note foradd some of those functions to other devices.
Why a Galaxy S with a stylus holder won’t be the end of the Galaxy NoteThe Galaxy S have been under the rumor of incorporating support for SPen for years, which makes many think wrongly about the end of the Note.
It was rumored that the Galaxy S21 Ultra would have support for SPen in a pencil that would be sold separately, and although Samsung has not confirmed names, this terminal is one of the ideal candidates. On a personal level, I think the Galaxy A would also be great candidates to be compatible.
Does this take away the sense of existence from the Note range? Not much less. The strong point of the Galaxy Note lies not only in the software, but in having a pencil always with you, and wanting to carry some of these experiences should not harm the future of the Note, but could be beneficial by offering a further gateway affordable, or better cohesion in the ecosystem. After all, the pencil of the Galaxy Tab is compatible with the Galaxy Note and it would be great if this integration were expanded to models that do not have SPen integrated, thus enhancing the strength of the ecosystem.
