Next September 22, tomorrow, we will see how Microsoft introduces new hardware. Rumors that point to a new Surface Pro, a renewed Surface Go or a Surface Duo second generation. And after the signs, now new features have been leaked of a device that we will almost certainly see tomorrow.

One of the protagonists tomorrow will almost certainly be the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, the new iteration of the mobile with a folding screen that is not flexible, from Microsoft. And if the first one came with a very fair hardware, in this case it seems that they have learned their lesson and they have put the batteries adding the best of the best.

A hardware, now yes, at the height

The Surface Duo is not a mass device, everything has to be said, but that does not mean that it is not a more than interesting mobile. Especially with the specifications that the FCC, the US regulatory body, has let us see, which has certified any of its characteristics.

According to the data released, the new Surface Duo will arrive with wireless charging, multi-band 5G and UWB support. Data added to WiFi 6 connectivity, a connection that is increasingly gaining prominence in our homes or the possibility of using a current processor.

This model would bet, according to these data, by the inclusion of UWB technology (ultra-wideband technology), a a short-range communications technology that uses a large portion of the radio spectrum and that for example we see in Apple’s AirTags. Through this enhancement, it can offer precise location indoors and outdoors at distances of less than 10 centimeters.

In addition, this model states that it may admit the “Wireless Power Transfer”, which translates into support for wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.

Microsoft wants this version not to come with outdated and underpowered hardware, as happened to the original Surface Duo, which lacked an excessive period of time between its presentation and its arrival on the market. In this sense, other indications point to the use of a Snapdragon 888 processor, from Qualcomm.

In a few hours we will leave doubts when Microsoft presents its new product catalog and only then will we know if a new Surface Duo is among them.
