The Galaxy sold in Spain have always stood out for the use of Exynos processors. One of Samsung’s strengths as a smartphone manufacturer is the capacity it has as a component manufacturer, integrating its own screens, memories, photographic sensors and its own processors in its mobiles, a very intelligent movement that is not always seen with good eyes.

The American version of the best Samsung mobiles usually stands out for the use of Snapdragon processors, something that has raised controversy because this version has excelled in performance compared to the one available in our country. What we did not know until now is that the Exynos version is not inferior in everything, but may be better in photography.

DxOMark analysis reveals big difference between Snapdragon and Exynos

DxOMark is a medium that in recent years has gained great popularity in its photography analysis. As we always say, the tests carried out do not have to correspond to the fact that a mobile with a better score will always make better photographs, since although the tests are very rigorous, in the end they are always taken by professionals in very specific circumstances.

However, that the tests are the same if that serves as a yardstick in the comparison of two Samsung phones that are the same model. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, since the media specialized in photography has put both versions to the test, achieving the following results:

Why does it make more sense than it seems

Mobile photography is extremely complex and we’ve come a long way since the only thing that mattered was the quality of the sensor. Today, the final image that we see after pressing the capture button is a combination of shots that are processed and mixed by powerful computational algorithms, as well as improvements by artificial intelligence.

In all this work, processor components such as the ISP (ProcessorSsignal ofImagen) and the NPU (ORnity ofPrubbingNeural) are in charge of processing through complex algorithms. As Samsung designs the cameras and their own algorithms, it makes sense that their own processors are capable of getting better photographic performance as they are also designed by them.

In the same way that we do not consider that the differences in performance are a key factor in determining whether a Galaxy is not worth it because the version that is not in our country is worse, we do not believe that the differences in photography are a reason to choose a model or another, but they do show us that Exynos are still exceptional processors.
