Patch Tuesday in September is causing printing failures with online printers of different brands

This week Microsoft released the Patch Tuesday corresponding to the month of September, an update for Windows 10 in versions 21H2, 21H1, 20H2 and 2004 by means of builds 19044.1237, 19043.1237, 19042.1237 and 19041.1237 which now apparently is generating print failures.

Among all the vulnerabilities that this update tried to cover, the PrintNightmare threat stood out, a security breach that allowed remote code to be executed. And in his work of tackling various bugs, Patch Tuesday has generated a new fault with the printers connected online.

Network printing failure

On BleepingComputer have echoed the complaints of the administrators of computers under Windows who report that after installing Patch Tuesday on the print servers Network printing has stopped working on connected equipment.

A problem that is affecting different brands of printers, case of Canon, HP, Konica Minolta and label printers, which are experiencing the same problems. A bug that only affects remote printing and not those users who have printers connected to the PC via USB.

Complaints are popping up in both Microsoft pages like in reddit threads. Complaints that speak of error messages like “Windows cannot connect to the printer” or that the print queue shows an “Access Denied” status for pending jobs.

For now, it seems that the only solution to get back to normal, go through removing the updates, since before the same all the services worked well before the update.

This is yet another stain when it comes to problematic updates by Microsoft, which in recent months have seen how there are problems with some of the patches that they launch on the market.
