During the last months we have seen how both OPPO and OnePlus have been launching different lines of headphones. In the case of OnePlus, Buds are its favorite alternative, while OPPO has surprised with products such as Enco X. Quality headphones with a common problem: upgrades.
Neither OPPO nor OnePlus allow updating their products via OTA unless we have a mobile phone from the company, something to which a prompt solution has been put in place with a new application. HeyMelody is in charge of that, even if we have a mobile from another brand, we can update the firmware of our OPPO and OnePlus headphones, receiving OTA updates to use.
This is how HeyMelody works, the app to update OPPO and OnePlus headphones
HeyMelody is an application published by OnePlus itself that allows us update the firmware of our OPPO and OnePlus headphones, even if we don’t have a company cell phone. With the launch of the latest headphones from both companies, we have seen that, if we did not have a proposal from the house, we would not receive updates via OTA.
Specifically, the application currently works with the OnePlus Buds, the OnePlus Buds z, Enco W51 and Enco X from OPPO. The application also displays battery levels and headphone information, in addition to ensuring that we can update these products through OTA.
The only requirement it has is that we use Android 6 or higher, thus being available for most of the current Android terminals. It is completely free, although it is in early access. This means that it may not be as stable as we expect from a final version, but it is definitely worth giving it a try.
