OnePlus completes its new family of phones in India: the OnePlus 9R is already official in that country. Somewhat lower in gross power with respect to OnePlus 9 and with the great design that characterizes the family of smartphones.
Today is the big day of OnePlus, not in vain the brand has unveiled the new phones for 2021: the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. That in the international scene, that there is a new smartphone that stays in Indian territory: the OnePlus 9R. It’s a great phone, at least by its spec sheet. Yes indeed, at the moment it is unattainable since it will not be released in Europe.

Snapdragon 870 and smaller features
The brand bets strongly with the OnePlus 9 since the inclusion of the Snapdragon 888 It greatly raises the price of the base model and the OnePlus 9 Pro. Which is why it opts for a Lower SoC in the OnePlus 9R, the Snapdragon 870. Without losing sight of a good memory and storage configuration: 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal space.
In terms of screen, the OnePlus 9R boasts a Fluid Display panel (hopefully AMOLED, although the brand does not specify it) that stays at FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The hole for the front camera is located in the upper left corner of the screen. And the optical fingerprint reader is kept under the panel.

Hasselblad drops out of the photographic experience on the OnePlus 9R, this is a major drawback. The mobile has a quadruple rear camera and sensors of lower quality compared to its brothers: 48 megapixels as the main camera, 8 megapixels for wide angle, 5 megapixels as a macro camera and 2 megapixels for the fourth sensor, a monochrome one. Ahead, the OnePlus 9R bets on a 16 megapixel camera.
The OnePlus 9R has a 4,500 mAh battery and 65 W fast charge. It does not include wireless charging, it lacks the IP68 protection of its brothers and it does offer 5G connectivity, also NFC.
The OnePlus 9R has OxygenOS 11 and Android 11. Its custom layer is characterized by the cleanliness and design close to stock Android, also for not bringing just pre-installed apps. And it is easier to use with one hand, a point to take into account.
OnePlus 9R price and availability
The mobile is official, although for the moment it remains in India, the country where it has been presented. There it can be purchased from April 14 at the following prices:
- OnePlus 9R 8/128 GB: 464.85 euros to change (39,999 rupees).
- OnePlus 9R 12/256 GB: 511.33 euros at the exchange rate (43,999 rupees).
