One UI 3.1 brings wireless Samsung DeX to all Galaxy phones: this is how it is activated

The Galaxy S21 arrived in Spain with One UI 3.1 as its interface version, a version that brings a series of new features. These weeks other phones of the brand have been updating to this version. All of them can now enjoy Samsung DeX wireless, one of the highlights of this update.

It was already commented when this range of the Galaxy S21 was presented, who already had access to Samsung DeX wireless. It was expected that over the weeks more Galaxy smartphones would have access to this function, something that the Galaxy S20 or Note 20 can already enjoy. Also, the way it works is simple.

One of the exclusivities of the new Galaxy Note 10 is the possibility of using Samsung DeX on another PC via the USB cable. We tested it.

This is how Samsung DeX wireless is activated in One UI 3.1

Those phones that are already updating to One UI 3.1 will enjoy Samsung DeX wireless. This function will allow you to connect to an external computer, monitor or TV without the need for cables thanks to this update. They will only have to be connected to the same WiFi network to be able to use it. Thanks to this feature you can run apps on a larger screen, show photos or make presentations. The steps to use it are:

1. Download DeX on your computer, available at this link.
2. It proceeds to its installation on the PC.
3. Go to your Galaxy mobile and open the settings.
4. Enter Advanced Features.
5. Search for Samsung DeX.
6. Activate this option.
7. Select the type of device you want to connect the phone to.
8. Wait for me to locate it.
9. Press on the device.
10. Click on Start now.
11. On your PC click on Allow.

Once this is done, desktop mode will open on the monitor. You can see your mobile applications directly on your computer. It’s a feature that can be used in many moments and the ability to use it now wirelessly helps make it easier. For now, this option is launched only in Windows 7 and Windows 10, in macOS you have to continue using cable.
