The range of Redmi 9 phones has grown remarkably, as the brand has left us with a multitude of models in it. Some of them can already be bought in Spain, such as the 9AT and 9C. The brand now leaves us with a new device in this range, the Redmi 9i which has already been officially presented in India.

The Redmi 9i is in the more modest mid-range, so it will arrive with an adjusted price, which is one of the key aspects in it. If we look at its specifications, we will be able to see that it looks a lot like the Redmi 9A, which has been available in Spain for a few weeks.

A Redmi 9A with more memory

The new Redmi 9i is identical to the Redmi 9A that we already know, since both phones share design and specifications, with the difference of their memory. It is committed to a 6.53-inch LCD screen, with a notch in the form of a drop of water in it. In the back they leave us with a single camera, in addition, there is no fingerprint sensor on the phone.

The rear camera of the phone is 13 Mpx and the front camera is 5 Mpx. They are modest cameras, but they will perform well. The battery is one of the strengths in this device, thanks to its 5,000 mAh capacity, which thus promises great autonomy. It also has support for charging 10W.

The processor in the Redmi 9i is the same as we saw in the Redmi 9A, Helio G25 from MediaTek being chosen. The main difference in this case is that this phone has more memory. Since the Redmi 9A arrived with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. In this model, the RAM becomes 4 GB and we have two storage options, 64 and 128 GB.

Price and availability

This new Redmi 9i will go on sale in three colors in India (black, blue and green), which we have seen in the photos. The phone It will go on sale on September 18 in the country. Nothing is known about its launch in Spain, so we will have to wait for news from the brand, to see if it will finally be launched or not. The phone comes in two versions of RAM and storage, the prices of which in India are:

• The 4/64 GB model is priced at Rs 8,299 (95 euros exchange rate).
• The version with 4/128 GB costs 9,299 Indian rupees (about 105 euros to change).
