A surprising folding
This Royole FlexPai 2 leaves us with a 7.8 inch size outdoor screen, a huge screen. When folded, inside we find two panels, one of 5.5 inches and the other of 5.4 inches. Each on each side on the device. In this case, the phone has a somewhat more square design compared to other folding devices that we have seen on the market, such as Samsung’s Folds.
The 7.8-inch outdoor screen It has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,440 pixels, and the 5.5-inch and 5.4-inch displays stick with 1,440 x 900 and 1,440 x 810 pixel resolutions. As announced in March, the brand has used the new generation of Cicada Wing FFD (Fully Flexible Display) in this model. Thanks to it, the panel will continue to fold easily even after 200,000 folds. With this design, the cameras of the Royole FlexPai 2 are either on one side or in the left march, depending on whether it has been folded or not.
High-end specs
The specifications of this new folding of the brand do not disappoint, they leave us with high-end specifications. Snapdragon 865 is the processor used in this phone, so it is presented as a powerful device and also comes with 5G connectivity as standard. Along with this processor we have two combinations of RAM and storage (8/256 and 12/512 GB).
The Royole FlexPai 2 has four cameras on its rear, it does not have a front camera itself. Although the combination of sensors used by the brand is interesting to say the least: a 64 Mpx main sensor, a 16 Mpx wide angle, an 8 Mpx telephoto lens and a 32 Mpx sensor for portraits. These cameras act as both front and rear cameras, so that combination makes sense.
The battery has a capacity of 4,450 mAh, with 18W fast charge included, as it is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0. Android 10 is the operating system on the phone, which comes with Water OS 2.0, the Royole interface, built in as well.
Price and availability
The brand has already confirmed the launch of this Royole FlexPai 2 in China. Can be bought now on its official website and on September 25, this Friday, it will be available at JD, the well-known Chinese store. For now, nothing is known about the launch of this phone outside of China.
The device is launched in three colors: Cosmic Gray (gray), Midnight Black (black) and Sunrise Gold (gold). It also comes in two versions of RAM and storage, whose confirmed prices in China are:
