New Redmi K30s: lots of power and display at 144 Hz

It has been a while since we have seen a Redmi K30 being announced. This family of products has not reached Spain but it does serve as the basis for models that we can buy in our country, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10T.

We have spent several days testing the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, the latest Xiaomi mobile that offers beastly performance and great camera at a not so high price.

In China the manufacturer has presented a new high-end terminal, the Redmi K30s, a device that chooses to offer the highest possible screen refresh rate and to again post for Qualcomm for the processor.

Without motorized camera and with a known rear module

The Redmi K30s is a mobile very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 10T. It uses the Snapdragon 865 as a processor and has 8 GB of RAM with LPDDR5 technology. There are two versions of storage, 128 and 256 GB, both with UFS 3.1 technology.

All this indicates that it is a mobile that could be focused on the game, although it has not been presented that way.

But what stands out the most is on

the screen. Unlike the Redmi K30 Ultra, this mobile opts for an LCD panel, but that brings the refresh rate to 144 Hz. Of course, the fingerprint sensor is placed on the side, as it happens in the Mi 10T. The resolution is expected in a terminal like this, FHD +.

As for the cameras, we have a front that is now housed in a hole in the screen, instead of a motorized mechanism in the upper frame.

The rear ones are three: a main 64 Mpx, a 13 Mpx wide angle and an aperture of 123º and a 5 Mpx macro. We still have no telephoto.

The battery is also one of the highlights, with 5000 mAh and a fast charge of 33 W.

In addition, it has two speakers to achieve stereo sound, one in the lower frame, next to the USB C charging port, and another next to the slightly less powerful call headset.

Price and availability

This model has been presented in China and it is unlikely that it will come out of there, something that already happened with the Redmi K30 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. It will be on sale in two colors, black and gray, at a price that varies depending on its storage:
