New OPPO A55 5G: the cheapest mid-range with 5G

The OPPO mid-range continues to grow, after the presentation of the A93 a couple of weeks ago, which we continue to hope will soon arrive in Spain. The manufacturer now leaves us with the new OPPO A55 5G, another model within its mid-range that already comes with 5G connectivity as standard.

This new OPPO A55 5G is a model within the more modest mid-range from the Chinese manufacturer, but that already comes with 5G. This makes it a particularly interesting option, as it is one of the cheapest 5G phones that we find in its catalog.

Cheap and with 5G

This new OPPO A55 5G is partly reminiscent of the A53 5G presented a few weeks ago, in fact they share some characteristics such as most of its cameras and a similar front design. The new smartphone also comes with a 6.5 inch LCD screen in size with a notch in the shape of a drop of water, although in this case it surprises in a negative way with its HD + resolution. The fingerprint sensor is located on one of the sides of this device.

The processor of choice in this phone is Dimensity 700 by MediaTek, one of the chips of the Chinese manufacturer that brings 5G to the mid-range. Along with

the processor we have a unique combination of RAM and storage (6/128 GB). It should be noted its 5,000 mAh capacity battery, which gives it good autonomy. Unfortunately we do not have fast charging, but it stays at a standard 5W charge in this case.

As for the cameras, it has opted for a configuration very similar to that of the A53 5G that we saw weeks ago. This OPPO A55 5G does not surprise too much in this field, but it will perform well. We have three cameras on its rear: 13MP main sensor, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait sensor. On the front we find a single 8 Mpx sensor.

Regarding the operating system, unlike previous models in this range, the phone already comes with Android 11 with Color OS 11.1 as an interface.

Price and availability

The OPPO A55 5G has been officially presented in China, where you can buy now officially. For now, there is no data on the launch of this device in markets such as Spain, but we hope to know more about the brand’s plans soon, taking into account that more and more smartphones are being launched in Spain.

The phone is launched in a unique version of RAM and storage, in blue and black colors. Its selling price in China is 1,599 yuan, about 205 euros to change.

The entry New OPPO A55 5G: the cheapest mid-range with 5G appears first in The Free Android.
