OPPO’s range of phones continues to grow, which this year left us with several launches in Spain. The manufacturer has now presented the OPPO A53 5G, a model within its mid-range. This model picks up the baton from other devices in this segment, such as the A53 that was officially launched in Spain a month ago.
This new OPPO A53 5G stands within the manufacturer’s cheapest mid-range, although it does not renounce 5G connectivity for that. In addition, they leave us with a phone that has a screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, so it will give a good experience when playing games.

A cheap mid-range with 5G
The OPPO A53 5G arrives with a similar design to the A53, but with changes, especially in its rear. It maintains a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a perforation in the upper left, in addition to the 8-megapixel front camera. This time it has a higher resolution, since it has Full HD +. It is in the back where we see changes in its design, with a new camera module.
One of the novelties in this phone is the presence of 5G, being one of the cheapest 5G models. This is possible thanks to the use of Dimensity 720 as a processor, one of MediaTek’s cheap 5G chips, which supports both NSA and SA 5G. The phone has a 4,040 mAh battery, which will give it a good autonomy. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side, as in the original A53.
The rear cameras have changed slightly on this OPPO A53 5G, basically the main sensor. It has three sensors on the rear: a 16 Mpx main sensor, a 2 Mpx macro and a 2 Mpx depth sensor. The main one has been improved, going from 13 Mpx to 16 Mpx in this case. Some balanced cameras, without great surprises, but that will perform well.
Price and availability
This new OPPO A53 5G has already been presented in China officially, where you will be able to reserve from Monday. Nothing is known about the possible launch of this model in Spain, although considering that there have been many launches in the A series of the brand in our country, it is possible that it will arrive as well.
The phone will go on sale in black, purple and blue. It comes in two versions of RAM and storage (4/64 GB and 6/128 GB), but only the price of the first is known, which is 1,299 yuan, about 160 euros to change.
