New OnePlus Band: this is the manufacturer’s first bracelet

After many months of rumors and leaks, OnePlus has officially presented its first wearable. It is not the watch that has been delayed due to Wear OS, but a smart bracelet that has been designed to compete against, among others, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5.

Durable and sporty design

The design is not particularly flashy, but it seems somewhat more elaborate than existing models. In addition, it is resistant to water and we can submerge it up to 50 meters, in addition to having IP68 protection.

The bracelet software allows us to measure 13 different sports activities, in addition to integrating the management of notifications, alarms or weather information.

We can control the music playback of the phone, as well as the remote shutter of the camera.

OLED screen and big battery

OnePlus has wanted to strive in two relevant aspects in these types of devices. One of them is the screen. The OnePlus Band uses a panel with technology 1.1-inch OLED and 126 x 294 px resolution.

Of course, this panel is tactile and allows us to interact with it by making gestures vertically or horizontally. In addition, we can customize the covers with the options included in the bracelet or with some more that are loaded from the application.

On the other hand, the autonomy of the device points to two weeks of use, a very high figure in line with what we have seen with other bracelets.

Measurement of all kinds

The focus of the bracelet, like that of most of them, is sport. The OnePlus Band allows us to measure the steps we take, the calories consumed, etc.

However, it is also possible to measure the heart pulse by means of a sensor embedded inside it, as well as to measure the oxygen saturation in the blood.

Here is an interesting novelty and it is that the OnePlus Band allows us continuously measure oxygen saturation during sleep, something very relevant for those with sleep apnea.

OnePlus Band price and availability

The OnePlus bracelet was presented today in India at 2799 rupees, about 20 euros at the exchange rate, although in a promotional way it is put on sale for 2499 rupees.

The straps will cost 399 rupees each, just under 5 euros to change.

The entry New OnePlus Band: this is the first bracelet from the manufacturer that appears first in The Free Android.
