New Nokia Canceling Earbuds: active noise cancellation and large drivers

Nobody wants to be left out of a booming market like truly wireless headphones, or TWS using its Anglo-Saxon acronym. Nokia has just released a new compact headphone model and, unsurprisingly, resemble the design proposed by Apple Airpods. Airpods Pro, well provide noise cancellation.

In this case, Nokia is committed to placing its new headphones, The Nokia Canceling Earbuds, in the average price range of the market as they will be marketed in Europe for 99 euros. With somewhat common characteristics, the strong point seems to be in the aesthetics with a color (we are talking about blue) that is rare in the market.

Say goodbye to 25 decibels from your surroundings

That is exactly the volume of external noise that the new Nokia Canceling Earbuds promise to eliminate during use as long as we have the cancellation activated. In the headphones we also find a transparency mode, called Environmental Mode, which will allow the outside sound to pass through the headphones to our ear.

In terms of sound quality, Nokia Canceling Earbuds offer 13 mm drivers, a considerable size for headphones of this size and design so we should have good bass power and sound quality above average, although we would have to analyze them to verify it.

The Nokia Canceling Earbuds are compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 and are stitched with the IPX5 certification that protects them against water, although they are not designed for swimming or diving. They also have support for the Google assistant and a range of up to 5 hours with active noise cancellation. The headphones have 45 mAh of internal battery and the carrying case, which charges with a USB type C, carries another 400 mAh extra, being able to extend the autonomy up to a total of 20 hours away from the socket.
