New Mi Watch Lite: another “Apple Watch” from Xiaomi but without Wear OS

Xiaomi’s new watch leaves Wear OS aside

About a year ago Xiaomi introduced the Mi Watch, a smartwatch with Wear OS and clear inspiration in its design towards the Apple Watch. This watch, far from being renewed (on a personal level, I expect an international version with Snapdragon Wear 4100 and LTE) has just received a reduced version known as Mi Watch Lite.

Being the Lite version of the Mi Watch we assume that it is due to its design. Once again, the Apple Watch seems to be the source of inspiration. Compared to the traditional Mi Watch, the look is less industrial and the side frames are more stylized, showing a single physical button.

At the technology level, we do not know the processor, but its 9 days of autonomy with only 230 mAh give us to understand that it does not carry Wear OS or a powerful processor, but rather a Xiaomi system like its previous watches. According to the company, this system has all the basic health and sport tracking features, as well as notification control.

The watch has been announced on the official global Xiaomi website, with no news of its arrival in Spain today.
