Meizu is a well-known brand in Spain, although it does not launch its phones in our country. Last year the Chinese manufacturer returned to the high-end with two new devices, which today already have successors. These two new phones are the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro, two smartphones that are in the most powerful segment on Android.
The brand has been losing presence in the market over time and has gone through complex times. Despite this, they continue to leave us with new phones, such as these Meizu 18 and 18 Pro, which for the moment will remain in China, although the brand may re-launch phones in the international market at some point.
New Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro: the brand’s return to the high-endThe Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro have been officially presented and are the brand’s return to the high-end, with 5G, power and four cameras each.
The Chinese brand aims high with this new high-end, that makes use of Snapdragon 888 in both models, so we can expect two phones with great power, in addition to having 5G as standard. This processor, along with its curved Super AMOLED panels with high resolution and its 120 Hz refresh rate, makes them good phones when it comes to gaming. Both panels have a perforation in the top center and the same specifications, unlike the panel size.
These two phones They also stand out for their large batteries, 4,000 mAh capacity in the Meizu 18 and 4,500 mAh in the Pro model. The normal model has support for fast charging of 36W, while the Pro model leaves us with fast charging of 40W, as well as fast wireless charging of 40W . So we can charge it at high speed both with cable and without it.
The cameras are different between both models. The normal model leaves us with a 64 Mpx main sensor, a 16 Mpx wide angle and an 8 Mpx telephoto. While the Pro model arrives with a 50 Mpx main sensor, the Samsung S5KGN1, a 32 Mpx wide angle, an 8 Mpx telephoto and a ToF sensor for depth measurements. In both models, the wide angle acts as a macro.
These two new phones are officially launched in China, the only country so far in which its launch has been confirmed. Considering the past of the brand, it seems unlikely that they will be launched in Spain, but you never know, they may leave us with good news at some point.
The Meizu 18 launches in a single version of RAM and storage, priced at 4,699 yuan, which is about 600 euros to change. In the case of the Meizu 18 Pro, we find three different versions of it, whose confirmed prices in China are:
