The last great Huawei mobile in Spain was the Mate 40 Pro, a mobile whose base version never ended up reaching the Spanish market. The company has taken the opportunity to present a new model in its native country, a cheaper variant that has many high-end details.
New Huawei Mate 40E: a new version of the Mate 40 with cutouts to make it more affordable
At the presentation of Huawei’s latest flagships we were able to appreciate two key designs: a Mate 40 of more modest size and capabilities and the Mate 40 Pro and Pro + with larger size, weight and better specifications.
Today we meet a new model in the Mate 40 family, the new Mate 40E. It is a mobilewhich is a trimmed version of the more basic Mate 40. At the design level we have a terminal with the same measurements and exactly the same weight. We have the same 6.5-inch OLED panel with a 90 hertz refresh rate and a 4200 mAh battery. It is practically identical to the Mate 40 except for two crucial details.
The first is powerInstead of the extremely powerful Kirin 9000, we have a Kirin 990E, exactly the same chip as the Huawei Mate 30E Pro that came out with the Mate 40. It is a previous generation chip that is somewhat slower than the processor. of the Huawei P40.
The second field is photography, and is that we lose the supersensing 50 Mpx sensor to integrate a 64 Mpx main sensor. Although the resolution increases, the quality of the sensor is lower and represents a step back in photography.
Regarding price and availability, the Huawei Mate 40E starts at 4599 yuan for the version with 128 GB of internal storage, which would be about 593 euros in exchange. Its arrival in Spain is a mystery, although we would not count on it much if we consider that when Huawei presented the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + only the Pro model arrived in our country and the rest were relegated to China.

Waiting for this mobile would not make much sense either if we consider that for a similar price we can get a Huawei P40 Pro in Spain (at the time of writing these lines it costs 636 euros), which has superior performance and camera.
