Last October, the new watch from Fossil, one of the most popular Wear OS brands in Spain, was presented. The brand leaves us with its first smartwatch of this year, the Fossil Gen 5 LTE. Now with 4G LTE
This new Fossil Gen 5 LTE has a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen, with a rounded design, similar to previous brand devices. It has a central button with a rotating crown, as well as two secondary buttons that can be programmed. The processor selected this time is Snapdragon Wear 3100, a classic in this type of device. Along with this processor we find 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
In terms of connectivity, the watch comes with NFC for mobile payments, like the watch presented in October. The big news in this case is the use of 4G LTE, which will allow this smartwatch to be used independently of the phone. This will allow a more flexible use of it for many users.
The battery of this Fossil Gen 5 LTE will give an autonomy of up to two days. It comes with fast charging and magnetic charging, which allows charge 80% of the battery in about 50 minutes of time. The watch is resistant to water and dust, and can be submerged up to 5 ATM in water.
Price and availability
The new Fossil Gen 5 LTE is available in the United States, where it can be pre-ordered now. Nothing is known about its release date in Spain at the moment. This watch is launched with a price of 349 dollars, about 285 euros to change.
