New Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus: the entry range is renewed

Alcatel left us with various launches in Spain over the past year, such as its new tablets. The brand starts the year strong, because they have already officially presented two new phones. It is the Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus, two models that are within the manufacturer’s entry range.

These new Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus have been officially presented in Argentina. It is not known at the moment if the brand has plans to launch them in Spain, but they have all the elements so that they are two models that end up arriving on this side of the pond throughout 2021.

Simple and with great batteries

These two phones feature a common design for the brand: screen with a notch in the shape of a drop of water

. The Alcatel 5X has a 6.52-inch panel, while the 1V Plus stays at 6.22 inches in size. Both have HD + resolution, and have been manufactured with an IPS panel.

Batteries are one of the aspects that usually stand out in this range of phones, something that these models show. The 5X has a large 5,000 mAh battery capacity, while the 1V Plus stays at 4,000 mAh. Considering their specifications, both promise a good autonomy. Neither of the two has support for fast charging, something common in the entry range.

As for the cameras, the Alcatel 5X surprises with a quad rear camera: 48 Mpx main sensor, 5 Mpx ultra wide angle, 2 Mpx macro and 2 Mpx depth sensor, while the front one is 13 Mpx. The Alcatel 1V Plus has a double rear sensor (13 + 5 Mpx) and a 5 Mpx front sensor.

Both phones have Android 10 as standard, in addition, stand out for having a fingerprint sensor, an element that we do not always find in the low range in Android. It will be possible to unlock them with both a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition.

Price and availability

These new Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus they have already become official in Argentina, although no data on their prices have been given. We do not know whether they will reach Spain or not, but more may soon be known. Alcatel usually presents models in the first two months of the year, so we will have all the data.
