Netflix will download series for you that you might like on Android

Downloading Netflix series to watch them later offline is something that many users in Spain do on a regular basis. This feature has been available in the app for years and now they go one step further with the arrival of Downloads For You, translated as Downloads for you, which is officially launched in the Android application, as announced by the firm itself.

This function takes content downloads to a new level, because it will not be the series you are watching that you download. Netflix will download automaticallyseries that might be of interest to you, based on the content you have consumed in your account.

Netflix will introduce the shuffle button on all platforms this year. This button will play random content directly.

Netflix reinvents downloads

Netflix will analyze your tastes, depending on the content you consume in your account in the application. Based on this, with this new function, these contents will be downloaded automatically, be it series or movies, that suit your tastes. The application will proceed to download them directly to your phone, so that you can play them whenever you want, without the need for an Internet connection.

Although content is downloaded automatically, users can decide if they want to use this function, being possible to deactivate it in the Downloads section of the application on Android. Besides, you can also set a size limit for such downloads, so that your data will not be exhausted by it. You can choose between 1GB, 3GB, and 5GB.

The idea is that users will be able to discover new content on Netflix, which they will be able to watch whenever they want without the need for an Internet connection. As they will be based on the content you have consumed, it is likely that the series, programs or movies that the app downloads for you on your Android phone will suit your tastes well and will be something that you are going to enjoy.

This new feature is officially launched in the application on Android from today. Users of the application on iOS will have to wait a little longer, testing will begin soon.
