Netflix already has parental control: age rating, filter series and locking pin

Netflix has announced these days a new feature to their video service. Thanks to it you can manage profiles for children or to add lock codes to that no one can enter to a particular profile. We will explain to you what are the new tools and how they are activated.

Netflix improves the parental controls: so you can turn them on

Netflix has announced new features on its platform in order to manage the family accounts with greater ease. From now on, since the settings of our account, we will have better tools.

From now on we will be able to activate two filters for the profiles. On one hand we have the filter by age, which allows us to state that in a profile only appear contents that are marked for:

• All of the public.
• 7+
• 13+
• 16+
• 18+

If even this measure seems to us to be insufficient, we will be able to hide specific titles of the catalog of Netflix by typing them from the text box. From the profile for parents also we will be able to see what has been seeing in the profile child and turn off the automatic playing of videos.

Pin for profiles

In addition to the parental lock, there is also an option called pin lock, which will allow us to set a four-digit pin for each profile. This option is useful not only for parents but also for users who share the account and that they do not want anyone to access your personal profile.
