Motorola Razr 5G: the new folding raises the level in battery, cameras …

At the end of 2019 Motorola jumped on the folding mobile bandwagon with a model inspired by one of the most iconic phones both in Spain and in the rest of the world. We refer to the foldable Motorola Razr, the first device of its kind from the company.

More than ten months later the company has launched a new variant with 5G, although there are more changes in addition to the new connectivity that, by the way, has reached new operators in Spain: Movistar, Yoigo and Orange.

More power and more memory

This new version of the Razr comes with an updated processor, the Snapdragon 765G, which has 5G connectivity. In addition, the RAM memory goes from 6 GB of the original model to 8 GB. Something similar has not happened with the storage, which is still 128 GB.

The screen remains unchanged, with 6.2 inches, foldable, with OLED technology and a resolution of 2142 x 876 pixels. The outer screen remains unchanged as well.

There is also a jump in the cameras. The interior, for selfies, goes from 5Mpx to 20 Mpx and the exterior rises from 16 to 48 Mpx, being able to use the Pixel Binning.

The latest hardware update comes from the hand of the battery, which goes from 2510 mAh to 2800 mAh. It is not a high enough amount for many things but it is 10% more than its predecessor had.

Finally, this terminal uses version 10 of Android as standard, and we assume that it will be updated without problems to the next one, Android 11, which was announced yesterday.

Price and availability

This model already appears on the Motorola Spain website but its availability has not yet been announced, although we know that it will begin to be sold in the autumn. It can be purchased in three colors: bronze, blue and light gray at a price of 1499 euros.
